WHAT IS GENETIC ENGINEERING?

The development and application of scientific methods, procedures, and technologies that permit direct manipulation of genetic material in order to alter the hereditary traits of a cell, organism, or population.

What does it effect?

Genetic Engineering or GMO affects all living things, anything that has DNA can be changed. They can genetically manipulate the organism to make it bigger. like chickens. They used to be very small but now they have been modified to be larger and produce more for us to eat.

Some would say it's bad, but have you seen a chicken from around the 1940's? They were 3 times smaller than they are today. Now they produce much more meat for people to eat. For plants, it could harm the bugs around it but not in a major way. Scientists have not been doing genetically modifying that long, and they would most likely perfect it in the future.

The picture above is fake, It is just for an example
